A WEEKEND IN PITTSBURGH || restaurants, bars, shopping & more

Once Aubrey & I heard that our favorite podcast, Girls Gotta Eat, had a live show only two hours away from Cle, we immediately bought tickets & wanted to make a weekend out of it. If you’re going to Pittsburgh or even if you live there, keep reading to add some fun places to your itinerary!

We stayed at the Wyndham Grand downtown– the location was perfect for what we had planned! We definitely chose the cheapest option available (p.s. Hopper is the best way to find good deals) but it was still nice & clean.

I took PTO on Friday so we could drive down & get settled (aka take a nap) before we got ready for the night. We went to The Market Exchange for dinner, where a few of their menu items are priced according to the “supply and demand” of the other dining guests. My sweet college friend Faley joined us for din + the GGE show!!

After we had the best time at GGE (if you don’t listen to them already, you’re missing out!!!), we went to my favorite Pittsburgh hidden gem, a jazz bar & restaurant called Con Alma. 10/10- great drinks, vibes, & brussel sprouts.

Saturday – We truly had *nothing* planned except for walking around to explore the city, and I was so happy to have found such amazing spots & businesses to share.

Here are some of our favorite places we found while exploring–

Love, Pittsburgh (@lovepittsburghshop) is a women-owned shop downtown that has the cutest trinkets & gifts all things PGH.

Revel (@RevelPGH) had a great brunch & mimosas!

Sienna Mercato is a rooftop bar with an amazing view of the city– it was even just voted the best rooftop bar in PGH by the Pittsburgh City Paper. Their glass roof is retractable, so you will still be covered and warm during the colder months.

Everyone MUST go to Bridges & Bourbon!!! One of THE most stunning restaurants I’ve ever been to. (The color of the walls is literally my dream) Aubrey and I stopped in here for the cocktails; I got the “butterfly effect” which changes color when you pour the shot into the drink itself.

Last but not least, COOP DE VILLE was a GREAT time for anyone looking for a trendy & young place to hang out and get drinks. Not only did they have food, but they also have a ton of arcade games & SO much space (a great place to go with a big group)!!

Other places to put on your itinerary that we didn’t have a chance to explore:

  • The Speckled Egg (Breakfast/brunch)
  • The PA Market (Multiple food vendors, bars, shops, etc.)
  • Check out @VisitPittsburgh for other great options in the city!!

Hope you enjoy, please leave a comment if you were able to check out any of these places!!

best wishes, be well and thrive,

cam
